I'm working on a jacket. Here's one front, with welt pocket and bound buttonholes. I'm reasonably happy with those details. Not perfect, but then, I haven't made that many.
Now, I'm working on the collar. Padstitching...padstitching...padstitching...

The fabric of your jacket looks so smooth and soft; I thought that it was a knit. The jacket is going to be lovely when it is done. And all that pad stitching will be worth it. I am taking a tailoring class and we learned about pad stitching last week. It took me over two hours to pad stitch an under collar. Okay, I was watching TV and had a fat cat on my lap. I imagine having two active little boys (so cute in the videos on your other blog) limits your uninterrupted sewing time. I am trying not to think about how long it will take to pad stitch two lapels.
