So maxi dresses are the big trend right now. At least, this is what I've read, and everyone in sewing blog world seems to have made one. I haven't seen many people wearing them here in Germany. Is this a trend only for the uber-stylish, or do lots of people in the States wear them?
I think I'm young enough to pull it off, but I still hesitate to make one. I'm afraid I'll look silly, and I'm not really sure where I'd wear it. I guess if I hate it, I could always cut it off short.
I wear mine everywhere....the grocery store, out on a date, running around town...they are just super comfy :-)
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few ladies wearing them at church. I'm with you, though, I like them but am not sure it would get a lot of wear. Seems a little hot for Texas as well. I'll probably follow the trend and make at least 1 though...
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of ladies around here (San Francisco area) wearing them as casual day dresses for the summer. The long length isn't me, but I think they look cute on the slim and tall. I think the key is to keep them trim and not too ridiculously billowly.
ReplyDeleteIn Florida they are everywhere, and not just on the tourists. I have seen them on women of every age.
